Top drive IBOP is an advanced oil exploration equipment that improves the efficiency and accuracy of exploration through various technical means. Its application will change the way and methods of oil exploration, provide more target geological information for exploration and exploitation, provide scientific basis for decision-making, and thus enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of oil exploitation. The introduction of top drive IBOP is undoubtedly a major advancement in the field of petroleum exploration.

The working principle of top drive IBOP is to use spiral perforation impactor technology to remove blockages during the impact process, thereby maintaining the smoothness of the oil well. At the same time, the top drive IBOP can also connect the drill rod and impactor together through a large steel ring cover connection device, avoiding oil leakage problems in conventional operations. This design ensures that the impactor does not leak oil during normal operation, improving the reliability and efficiency of the oil well.

What are the performance parameters and specifications for top drive IBOP?

Load bearing capacity: The top drive IBOP needs to be able to withstand the weight of drill rods and drilling tools, and provide sufficient torque to rotate the drilling tools, so its load bearing capacity is an important indicator. Usually, the carrying capacity of top drive IBOP varies depending on drilling conditions and requirements, with several specifications available for selection, such as 1000 tons, 1500 tons, 2000 tons, etc.

Maximum RPM: The top drive IBOP needs to be able to provide sufficient RPM to rotate the drilling tool to meet the drilling requirements. Usually, the maximum speed of top drive IBOP varies according to demand, with common specifications including 300 rpm, 500 rpm, 800 rpm, and so on.

Maximum working pressure: The top drive IBOP needs to be able to withstand the pressure at the wellhead and quickly shut down in the event of a wellhead leakage accident to prevent wellhead leakage. Therefore, the maximum working pressure is an important indicator, and there are usually several specifications to choose from, such as 5000psi, 7500psi, 10000psi, etc.

Anti spray capability: As an integrated anti spray device, the top drive IBOP's anti spray capability is an important indicator. The anti spray capability mainly includes two aspects: shutdown time and shutdown reliability. The closing time refers to how quickly the top drive IBOP can close the valve when a wellhead leak is detected, in order to reduce the losses caused by the leak accident; Closing reliability refers to whether the top drive IBOP can truly prevent wellhead leakage after closing the valve. Generally speaking, the anti spray capability of top drive IBOP varies according to requirements, and there are multiple specifications to choose from.

Top drive IBOP can predict the mechanical properties of underground rocks. Through rock mechanics techniques, the mechanical properties such as compressive strength and tensile strength of underground rocks can be determined. This is crucial for determining the stability of the wellbore and the integrity of the oil well. In addition, top drive IBOP can also measure the rock creep of underground rocks, thereby predicting the deformation of rocks during mining and providing a basis for the design of mining plans.

Top drive IBOP mainly prevents well control events by blocking the wellhead. During the drilling process, the top drive IBOP seals the wellhead with components such as ball valves, valve stems, and blockable sealing devices. When there is oil and gas gushing out of the wellhead, the top drive IBOP should promptly close the wellhead to prevent oil and gas eruption and maintain the balance of pressure inside the well, ensuring the normal progress of the drilling process.
